About the role

Working in tight-knit and high-performance teams, Software Engineers at L3Harris tackle unique technical challenges in the areas of performance, scale, reliability, and security, on strategically critical Australian Defence programs. 

Day to day your remit will be to design, implement and test L3Harris’s tailored software solutions. As you stay abreast of changes in engineering trends, technologies and methodologies, the organisation will look to you for innovation or continuous improvement opportunities, that enhance our products and technology roadmaps. As your knowledge grows so too will the scope of your role, leading to increased autonomy and opportunities to take on more senior or leadership roles.

As current scopes expand and new programs come online, there are roles available for engineers at various experience levels.

About you

To be successful in this role and to best leverage the opportunities provided by L3Harris, some skills & experience ideal applicants will bring include;

• Expert proficiency with C# and .NET
• Working knowledge of databases, scripting, embedded programming or cloud technologies
• Excellent written and verbal communication
• Highly developed critical thinking and problem solving in complex  environments
