Position Summary 

The Sales IMS Trading is looking for a full-time Accounts Payable Specialist to support our Accounting Dept and Controller.  You will be responsible for the efficient, timely and accurate processing of invoices and payments to vendors. The duties and responsibilities of this position require not only a knack for numbers, but also attention to detail and well-developed organizational skills.  We are a company with a strong corporate culture. Responsibilities 

  • Enter and verify all invoices, ensure proper general ledger coding and approval authority 
  • Enter invoices associated with Customs Duties and Shipping charges 
  • Ensure proper setup and document backup for new vendors 
  • Oversee financial banking transactions, schedule ACH payments, create wire templates 
  • Handle system reconciliations related to AP 
  • Prepare and process payments via check, ACH/Wire, credit card 
  • Enter international payments and communicate with international team 
  • Facilitate intercompany payments 
  • Verify and reconcile statements from Vendors and request outstanding invoices 
  • Respond to vendor inquiries and resolve payment issues 
  • Enter Expense Reports adhering to policies and procedures 
  • Process and enter credit card transactions 
  • Communicate with our vendors to build relationships and deliver legendary service 
  • Maintain accurate accounting records and ERP data related to AP 
  • Review and propose efficiencies with policies and procedures 
Requirements

 

Qualifications & skills 

  • 5+ years of experience with full cycle Accounts Payable 
  • Strong working knowledge of Excel 
  • Experience working with SAP B1 or similar ERP system 
  • Strong time management and organizational skills  
  • The ability to work under strict deadlines 
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy 
  • SAP software experience a plus  
  • High School diploma or equivalent required 
  • Experience in manufacturing and importing industries preferred
