Role Description

  • Positively promote the Values and Objectives of the Company.

  • Manage own time and support more junior team members, ensuring deadlines are met and risk and importance are prioritised.
  • Identify risk and escalate accordingly, ensuring at all times that Company procedures are followed.


Responsibilities and Duties

  • Responsibility for the day-to-day management of own work and deadlines.
  • Responsibility for completion of time sheets in accordance with Company procedure.
  • Promote positive relationships with peer teams and departments throughout the Company and external Affinity offices.
  • Responsible for training and mentoring of team members in your and other teams to ensure knowledge is shared – actively promoting training and development, to support succession planning.
  • Providing mentoring, coaching and training to more junior team members.
  • Have a positive input into team meetings and 1:1s.
  • Responsibility to set own objectives are set and the appraisal process is undertaken on time and in accordance with the Company procedure.
  • Responsibility for accurate personal records to be maintained in Bamboo.
  • Promote the Company’s digital strategy.


Client Management and Reporting

  • Responsibility for the oversight of client entities and portfolios - reporting to the eGaming Compliance Manager.
  • To hold approved and nominated regulatory roles, such as AML/CFT Compliance Officer and MLRO.
  • Provide MLRO support to clients who the Company does not hold this role for.
  • Overall responsibility for the time management of tasks and ensuring these are diarised using the departments chosen system in accordance with the department procedure.
  • Responsibility for the technical input of new applications for gambling licenses, also continuing to build on the associated processes – coordinating with the Administration Team.
  • Responsibility for technical input during the transfer in of new business to the Company - coordinating with the Administration Team.
  • Assist with the handover of new business to the team - coordinating with the eGaming Compliance Manager.
  • Ensure that all key client eGaming compliance deadlines (including any deadlines which you may not be directly responsible for) in respect of client entities within your department are met.
  • Direct responsibility to prioritise regulatory deadlines.
  • Support the Company’s cannabis clients and work collaboratively with business development on such matters.


Risk and Compliance Management

  • Responsibility for the risk management of own work-load and support more junior team members.
  • Responsibility to ensure that Company procedures are followed – such as client reviews, SAR submissions, and onboarding; this is not an exhaustive list and covers all Company procedures.
  • Ensuring that matters of risk / concern are raised / escalated in a timely manner in accordance with the Company procedures.
  • Responsibility for risk management of work and tasks in the team, prioritising regulatory deadlines such as GSC returns.
  • Create policies and procedures to support the development of the Company governance compliance framework.
  • Support the Company’s cannabis clients and provide compliance support to the administration teams.


Regulatory

  • Responsibility for regulatory deadlines, ensuring that these are reported in line with the regulator requirements, licence conditions and applicable legislation.
  • Attendance at external events and regulator forums.
  • Responsibility to manage the regulatory inspection process.
  • Actively take part as a stakeholder in regulator industry events and working groups.
  • Responsible for staying abreast with worldwide industry updates and legislation changes.
  • Responsible for staying abreast with international money laundering typologies and updates from the FATF.
  • Responsibility to be up to date with industry risks and priorities, such as serious events in other countries directly affecting sanctions priorities of crime agencies.
  • Responsible for own knowledge on the Isle of Man gambling sector to be of a good standard. Examples include the National Risk Assessment, the FIU and FSA’s activities, the Economic Crime Units crime prevention agenda.
  • Responsible for own up to date understanding of the GSCs stance on social responsibilities and the link to money laundering.


Qualifications

  • An anti money laundering / risk qualification is desirable.
