Position Summary

The individual will safely and efficiently support the daily operation of the LPG business, including delivering to customers a safe, quality and efficient standard of operational service.

LPG Driver Responsibilities.

  • HGV driving (if applicable)
  • Customer deliveries of LPG, with completion of all associated paperwork
  • LPG cylinder deliveries to agents
  • LPG cylinder deliveries to metered customers
  • Inspection and maintenance of LPG fittings and connections and reporting any faults
  • Inspection and maintenance of LPG installations and reporting any faults
  • Assisting in LPG ship discharge
  • Assist in cylinder filling
  • Safe loading and unloading of cylinder trailers
  • Purging LPG cylinders into service
  • Testing cylinder filling scales for tolerances
  • Forklift driving
  • Maintenance of plant and equipment and in-house repairs
  • Carry out inspections and audits
  • Undertake, implement and assist with risk assessments
  • Participate in relevant training courses and subsequent assessment
  • Work in conjunction with other company departments and contractors
  • Co-operate with safety audits and inspections carried out by management and other staff
  • Reporting of any accident, incident or near miss to the relevant company authority and assist with any subsequent investigation
  • Ensure work is carried out in accordance with company procedures and relevant approved codes of practice
  • Undertake other duties, as and when required, to ensure the efficient operation and presentation of the LPG business (i.e. general gardening, washing of vehicles, painting, housekeeping and maintenance.
