The Role
The Pre-Sales Solution Consultant will play a pivotal customer-facing role, working closely with the Sales team, customers, partners and internal technical stakeholders to shape, present and support the delivery of mobile network, IoT and enterprise data solutions.
This role combines technical discovery, solution architecture, customer demonstrations, bid support, commercial enablement and the handover to in-life delivery teams. The successful candidate will translate customer requirements into clear, credible and scalable solution designs, helping Stacuity win new business and build trusted long-term customer relationships.

Reporting to: Head of Pre-Sales
Location: Remote with customer site visits and occasional visits to Isle of Man (HQ). Candidate can be based in the Isle of Man, United Kingdom or Jersey.
Role Basis: Permanent/ Full Time (40 hours)
Key responsibilities – what you will do:
Customer Discovery and Technical Qualification
- Work with Sales to understand customer objectives, technical requirements, constraints and success criteria.
- Qualify opportunities from a technical perspective and identify the best-fit Stacuity solution approach.
- Act as a trusted technical advisor to prospects, customers and partners throughout the sales cycle.
Solution Design & Architecture
- Design tailored technical solutions covering mobile connectivity, IoT, enterprise data, interconnects, cloud networking and security considerations.
- Produce solution blueprints, architecture diagrams, high-level designs, integration plans and supporting technical documentation.
- Ensure proposed solutions align with relevant standards, security guidance, operational best practice and Stacuity product capabilities.
- Support customer onboarding and go-live activities
- Responsible for handover of customer solution into operations.
Demonstrations, Workshops and Proof-of-Concepts
- Deliver compelling product demonstrations, technical presentations and customer workshops that clearly communicate value and capability.
- Lead technical deep-dives, Q&A sessions and proof-of-concept activities for prospective and existing customers.
- Translate complex technical topics into clear messages for both technical and non-technical audiences.
Bid, Proposal and Commercial Support
- Lead the technical response for RFIs, RFPs and RFQs, working closely with Sales, Product, Development, Network Operations and Systems Operations.
- Prepare technical content for proposals, statements of work and customer-facing solution documentation.
- Identify technical risks, assumptions, dependencies and delivery considerations to support accurate commercial and contractual discussions.
Internal Collaboration and Knowledge Sharing
- Work closely with Product Management, Engineering, Support and Operations to remain current on platform capabilities and roadmap developments.
- Feed customer insights, technical requirements and market trends back into Product and Engineering teams.
- Create and deliver internal enablement sessions to improve Sales team understanding of Stacuity products, technical differentiators and common customer use cases.
What you will bring:
Your Qualifications
- Degree in Telecommunications Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline (Desirable)
Your Experience and Skills (Essential)
- 5+ years of experience in a pre-sale’s solution engineering, or technical sales role in the mobile network, IoT, or enterprise data space.
- Strong understanding of mobile network technologies, IoT connectivity (NB-IoT, LTE-M,5G) and cloud-based enterprise solutions.
- Strong Layer 3 / Layer 4 networking expertise: IP addressing and subnetting, routing (static and BGP), NAT, firewalling, transport-layer behaviour and troubleshooting with tools such as Wireshark / tcpdump

Demonstrate experience designing inter-operator or enterprise interconnects, including NNSs, IPsec site-to-site VPNs, GRE, and routed handoffs to customers or partners.
- Excellent communication, presentation and stakeholder management skills
- Proficiency in preparing technical documentation, solution proposals and customer-facing architecture material.
- Ability to travel as required to meet customers and support sales engagements.
Your Experience and Skills (Desirable)
- Experience with API integrations, data analytics and enterprise networking solutions.
- Highly Desirable: Working knowledge of telecom core network protocols and interfaces including GTP-C/GTP-U, Diameter-based charging and policy interfaces (Gy/Gx, DCCA), RADIUS authentication, S1/S5/S8/N-interfaces, and SS7 signalling. Understanding of PCRF/PCF, OCS, AAA frameworks, roaming, and IPX/GRX environments.
- Security & cyber-security: solid grounding in general security principles such as, IAM, zero-trust, segmentation, encryption (IPsec / TLS), vulnerability management, logging / monitoring, and signaling-layer threats relevant to mobile networks.
- Familiarity with relevant standards and guidance (e.g. 3GPP, GSMA FS-series, NIST, ISO 27001).
- Experience with cloud networking (AWS / Azure / GCP) VPCs, Transit Gateways, private interconnects, ExpressRoute / Direct Connect.
- Mobile Voice (2G/3G/VoLTE) services
